Al Hima Islamic Services is a charitable and developmental organization dedicated to serving the Muslim community. Established by the grace of God and the efforts of dedicated volunteers in 2002 AD, we are registered under the Companies Act, Registration No: 3125/GA.

Our mission defines our present purpose: to be a contributing charitable society that delivers essential services rooted in the immutable principles of Islam.
AHIS is dedicated to actively engaging and supporting the Muslim community by providing comprehensive services across several key sectors:
Orphan Sponsorship Program
- A primary focus is on sponsoring orphans (yatīm). This program covers their educational expenses, including tuition, books, and living costs, ensuring they receive the necessary tools to break the cycle of poverty and lead self-sufficient lives.
Widow Empowerment and Support
We prioritize providing direct financial and non-financial assistance to widows. This includes:- Monthly Stipends: Offering regular financial aid to help cover essential living expenses.
- Skill Development: Implementing vocational training and small business startup support to help widows achieve economic independence and dignity.
Family Support Programs:
Implementing general welfare schemes such as food distribution, housing assistance, and seasonal aid (like during Ramadan and Eid ul-Adha) to assist vulnerable families and prevent destitution.

Our History
A Foundation Built on Faith (2002 AD)
Al-Hima Islamic Services (AIS) was established in 2002 AD through the grace of God and the collective efforts of dedicated and passionate volunteers. Recognizing the crucial need for integrated community support, these founders laid the groundwork for an organization deeply committed to uplifting the Muslim community.
We are officially registered under the Companies Act (Law No. 7 of 2007) of Sri Lanka, bearing the registration number 3125/GA. This legal foundation ensures that AHIS operates with transparency, accountability, and compliance under the oversight of the Registrar of Institutions, solidifying our commitment to structured and sustainable charitable work.
